Unlike warriors, sages, athletes, and performers, leaders have never had a practical, pragmatic, and replicable path to mastery created specifically for them. The escape from excellence is my life’s work and defining passion. I’m endlessly fascinated by what continually challenges excellent people, and what defines masters, across all fields. Here, our focus is specifically on leaders, and turning them into masters. I also have a love of music (I compose, produce, and perform), comedy (it’s an art), politics (I’m a card carrying centrist), spirituality (I’m a pluralist), film (classic and indy), design (any kind), and land (mine and ours), so I may refer to these sometimes, when relevant.

This blog is not: a news archive, a commentary on everything, a rehash of what’s already everwhere else, a content driver for my SEO. Rather, it provides all meat and no filler: substantive thought leadership and value-added public material based on the work of my company, Charism Advisors.
